Position: Senior Software Engineer
Location:  Orlando, FL

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:  

Will be coming up with a Greenfield Data Model that connects data sources horizontally across the entire Enterprise. Model is built using primarily Python 3 and you will need to follow TDD methodology. THe development is a split between microservices and data work . THe environment is both Onprem and in the cloud, with this being greenfield you will also be responsible for the Cloud ENvironments as well. You will deploy code using Docker and Kubernetes. Will also be working with NEO4j as that is where they will be everything too. You are walking the path without knowing every twist and turn, just knowing what the destination is, Start up mentality is needed, on the fly training will be provided as well. Associate Director will have direct reports that they will be responsible for in terms of day to day not HR. They are still doing everything above
 

Looking for: 

• Middle tier / backend development w/OOP Python 3

• TDD is highly preferred

• Have to have Software Engineering chops – but they DO need to be able to work with Data / build a rapid prototype environment that includes data movement via smart sheets – focusing on getting data into a format that can be given to Data Scientists

  • Not doing statistical analysis

• Wants to get to real-time data flows (using Airflow now) – use smart sheets à load to Neo4J

• Containerized & Deploy Microservices & Neo4j data

  • Flask/Django & Lambda

  • Docker / Kubernetes  

• API Gateways

• S3 buckets

• Looking for start-up mentality
